No engagements, no staff beyond a skeleton crew. Inside the two-day Highland reset the couple reportedly schedule around everything else.

There are royal weekends with itineraries, and then there is this one. Sources say the Prince and Princess of Wales protect a quiet two-day escape to Scotland each summer — no engagements, no photographers, and a staff list short enough to fit on one hand.
“They walk for hours, whoever’s cooking cooks, and the phones stay in a drawer,” a friend of the couple told Spotlight Daily. “It’s the least royal weekend of their year.”
A landscape the family keeps returning to
Scotland has long been the family’s private geography — the place of childhood summers, early courtship, and, more recently, deliberate decompression. Aides say these trips are treated as immovable when the diary is planned.
The weekend reportedly follows the same shape each time: long ridge walks with the dogs in whatever weather the Highlands provide, simple dinners at the cottage, and one evening at the local pub, where staff describe the couple as unfailingly low-maintenance regulars. “You’d hardly know,” said one. “Which is rather the point.”

Sorted by topScotland has always been the family's exhale. Glad some things don't change, whatever the headlines do.
A private weekend we all get to read about in detail. The modern monarchy, everyone.
The phones-in-a-drawer detail is aspirational. If it's good enough for the future king, it's good enough for my group chat.
Two days, one pub, no staff. Honestly this is just a normal couple's weekend with a nicer postcode.
Those ridge walks in that weather are no joke. Respect for actually doing the miles, whoever you are.
