Inside Kim Kardashian's SKIMS Flagship Opening Night
Four floors, a wall of nude-toned bodysuits, and a guest list that shut down the block: the scene at SKIMS' biggest retail bet yet.

The block was closed by six. By seven, the line of guests and onlookers outside the new SKIMS flagship stretched around the corner — which, according to the brand, was roughly the plan.
Inside, the store reads like the company’s whole argument in physical form: four minimalist floors, sculptural fixtures, and a wall of bodysuits in graduated nude tones that has already become the backdrop of the night. Kim Kardashian arrived before the doors opened and, a SKIMS executive told us, “walked every floor twice. This store is not a vanity project — it’s the whole thesis.”
From drop culture to real estate
The flagship marks the brand’s biggest bet yet on physical retail — a striking move for a company built on internet drops. Guests moved floor to floor through fittings lounges and a dedicated men’s level, with the founder working the room until close.
Industry watchers have spent years asking whether celebrity brands can outlast celebrity attention. A four-floor store with a line around the block is one very expensive answer.
She walked every floor twice before the doors opened. This store is not a vanity project — it's the whole thesis.

Sorted by topSay what you want about the family, the nude-tone range genuinely changed the industry. Every brand copied that wall.
A store opening as an 'exclusive' event piece is really just an ad with extra steps. Pretty store though.
Worked in flagship retail for a decade. A founder walking the floor twice before doors? That almost never happens. Respect.
The line went around the block. I didn't get in but honestly just watching the crowd was the event.
Four floors of shapewear is a lot of shapewear. The men's floor better be good, that's all I'm saying.
Whatever your take, this is how you build a brand that outlives the fame. Physical retail is a statement.
