If you’ve had your makeup done by anyone who regularly works red carpets, you’ve probably already met Caspian. The little navy jar shows up in kit photos, on facialists’ shelves, and — according to one longtime makeup artist whose clients include several awards-season regulars — in “basically every trailer I’ve worked in since spring.” We put it through six weeks of real life to see if the kit favorite survives outside the trailer.
Week one to week six
The first thing you notice is texture: a dense balm-cream that melts on contact and leaves zero residue. Both testers — one 38 with early crow’s feet, one 52 with deeper lines and chronic puffiness — agreed the de-puffing effect was the fastest result, visible within minutes on most mornings. “It’s the one step I’d keep even on a no-makeup day,” our senior tester reported in week two.
By week four, the slower claims started showing up. Fine lines looked softer in direct daylight, and the 52-year-old tester’s concealer stopped settling into creases by midday — a first in her testing history. Deeper lines, to be clear, were still there. No cream was going to change that in six weeks, and this one doesn’t claim otherwise.
What nearly cost it a half-star: the jar. At a pea-sized amount twice daily, ours ran out at week seven, which makes the price-per-month sting. But judged strictly on what it does to the skin, Caspian earned its reputation — and a permanent spot on one of our two testers’ vanities.

At this price I want miracles, not 'gradual improvement.' Passing for now, but appreciate the honest score breakdown.
My derm always says eye cream is just expensive moisturizer. This review at least admits where the limits are.
